Second S Class for me. Buy them off lease well maintained. I save a ton of money. Oil change every ten thousand miles and that's it. I highly recommend the cars. Very comfortable and all the goodies. I call it my "living Room"

The suspension system featured a reinforced rear axle with hydropneumatic compensating spring. The car sat on larger wheels (14”) and had disc brakes on front and rear. The W109 was identical to the W108, but featured an extended wheelbase of 115 mm ( in) and self-levelling air suspension . This was seen as a successor to the W112 300SEL that was originally intended as an interim car between the 300 "Adenauer" (W189) and the 600 (W100) limousines. However, its success as "premium flagship" convinced Daimler to add an LWB car to the model range. From that moment on, all future S-Class models would feature a LWB line.

Mercedes-Benz traces its origins to Karl Benz 's creation of the first petrol -powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen , financed by Bertha Benz [4] and patented in January 1886, [5] and Gottlieb Daimler and engineer Wilhelm Maybach 's conversion of a stagecoach by the addition of a petrol engine later that year. The Mercedes automobile was first marketed in 1901 by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (Daimler Motors Corporation).

Due to the E-Class's size and durability, it has filled many market segments, from personal cars to frequently serving as taxis in European countries, as well special-purpose vehicles (., police or ambulance modifications) from the factory. [3]
